You never let go

Olga (on left) and Tonya (on right). Both sweet girls. They made these little crowns out of dandelions. Dandelions are one of their best forms of entertainment. The little ones spend eons of time picking them.

So, we had another day of playing with the kids at the orphanage. We're thankful for the beautiful weather so we can be outside with the kids. They really enjoy it! Here a few pictures from the day. Here's the tear-jerker story of the day. It should put a smile on your face.
Tonya, the 12-year-old I mentioned to you yesterday spent a lot of time with us today. She has a family that is working on paperwork to adopt her and her brother. I just love Tonya! So, Alona, Tonya and I are making our gazillionth walk around the outside of the orphanage when Tonya says, "Jenny, music oh no?" So, I do the charades and two word sentence for "what are you talking about"? She thinks a minute, then remembers the tune. She begins singing a familiar modern Christian song, "Oh no, You never let go, through the calm and through the storm. Oh no, You never let go every high and every low. Oh no, you never let go. Lord you never let go of me." How cool is that! So, for like 15 minutes Alona, she and I sing it. Then we sing "Jesus Loves Me." Tonya asks me if I go to church. I tell her yes and asked her if she went to church this summer in CA. She tells me yes and that she liked it very much. She says, "Tonya love Jesus".
What a wonderful opportunity her host family took this summer to teach her of the love of Jesus. That little girl blessed the socks off of me today!
Love you, Jenny
p.s. A personal shout out to my three lovely kiddos at home. I can't WAIT to get home and love all over you. I miss you! I'm so proud of you. I admire the way you have opened your hearts to love these three children. You're the best!!! love, Mommy

The story of Tonya is fantastic !! You never know what is going to impact them and stay with them and how God will use something so small as an in-road to share Him. We prayed for you and David and the kids in the primary dept. today. It's so neat for the kids up there to know that Max's family is doing such a great thing and the way you said "yes" to God and followed Him in obedience. Kinda like the nobleman in our story today. What an awesome living testimony that you are to us back here at home. Enjoy your day with your children tomorrow !~

Thanks for the new pix~Glad the weather is holding out. A big praise that your adoption came in the spring! Interesting that Dandelions are a form of entertainment for the kids. God made This "weed" a great food too.
Its leaves and roots are very nutritious and cleansing. The girls look lovely in their creations! Funny about the song
"Oh No You Never Let Go" it has been my theme song in waiting for Vova. And "Savior He Can Move the Mountains" Sing it with me...
Not much longer and you will be home Jenny... and David soon to follow

That is such a cool story about Tonya! What an awesome song to sing! Loved the pics today also. We are praying for you daily. Your kiddos here seem to be having a great time with the Hilshers this weekend. Max seemed excited about being in the musical tonight at church too! I am so glad you have had good weather to be with the kids. I love to click on daily to see what is happening!
